Panasonic TOUGHBOOK FZ-VSC402U xPAK
The FZ-VSC402U installs in the left expansion area on a Panasonic TOUGHBOOK 40. Mutually exclusive with other xPAKs that install on the left expansion area (such as a Blu-Ray, DVD Drive or Barcode Reader xPAK) the FZ-VSC402U provides the user with the ability to scan smart cards and adds a potential layer of security or interface. The xPAK reads CAC (Common Access Cards) with the chip placed upwards and can allow for users to easily and securely login with their CAC. The FZ-VSC402U is compatible with both the mark 1 and 2 TOUGHBOOK 40. As a user installable piece of hardware, the FZ-VSC402U is a great addition to an FZ-40 and includes all required drives to function properly and may be easily installed and removed or semi-permanently secured with the included security screw.
