Panasonic Toughbook xPAK System Overview
Historically, Panasonic Toughbook configuration customizations were limited to selection prior to being manufactured. This limitation hampered the ability to add new functionality to current systems or utilize existing equipment for new tasks. The Panasonic xPAK system revolutionized how rugged computers can be integrated into a user's application. With most xPAKs being able to be installed into a Toughbook by the user within seconds, the versatility of the computer is vastly increased. Able to add mission critical items such as barcode scanners or smart card readers and swap xPAKs as needed, a user can tailor a Toughbook to any application as well as adjust the mission parameters for the rugged computer on the fly. Saving budgets, increasing efficiency and allowing for evolving applications, the Toughbook xPAK system has revolutionized the rugged computer industry.
